Austin, Other DOD Leaders to Testify on Capitol Hill This Week

Here are some of the hearings scheduled for this week on Capitol Hill:

  • Wednesday, 9:30 a.m.: Senate Armed Services Committee hearing on recruitment challenges, with testimony from under secretaries of the services
  • Wednesday, 2:30 p.m.: SASC Readiness Subcommittee hearing on small business’s role in in the industrial base
  • Thursday, 10 a.m.: House Defense Appropriations Subcommittee hearing on the administration’s budget request, with testimony from Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, Chair of the Joint Chiefs Gen. Mark Milley and Pentagon Comptroller Michael McCord
  • Thursday, 2 p.m.: House Appropriations Subcommittee on Military Construction, Veterans Affairs and Related Agencies hearing on the administration’s budget request for military construction and family housing with testimony from Assistant Army Secretary Rachel Jacobson and Lt. Gen. Kevin Vereen, deputy chief of staff G-9, Installation Management Command
  • Thursday, 3 p.m.: House Armed Services Personnel Subcommittee hearing on DOD diversity, equity and inclusion policies
  • Thursday, 3:30 p.m.: House Armed Services Subcommittee on Cyber, Information Technologies and Innovation hearing on technology and innovation at DOD
