NDAA Action This Week

June 20, 2023

Congress continues working on the 2024 National Defense Authorization Act this week. The Senate Armed Services Committee is holding subcommittee markups today and tomorrow, according to a committee schedule. Only tomorrow morning’s Personnel Subcommittee hearing is open to the public.

Then SASC and the House Armed Services Committee will each meet Wednesday to mark up their versions of the bill. The House hearing will be livestreamed starting at 10 a.m. Eastern time Wednesday and is expected to go into the evening. The SASC hearing, which is closed to the public, could stretch out over the rest of the week.
