The USS Theodore Roosevelt aircraft carrier quietly deployed last week from Naval Air Station North Island, California, Stars and Stripes reported. The Navy did not initially publicize the deployment to the Pacific, but a spokesperson later told Stars and Stripes the Roosevelt and its Carrier Strike Group 9 are “currently underway conducting routine operations in the U.S. 3rd Fleet area of operations.”…

The Fort Campbell Strong Defense Alliance is searching for a new executive director, who will be “responsible for the day-to-day preliminary supervision and coordination of the Campbell Strong Defense Alliance” and serve as “liaison to all national, state and local entities with a vested interest in the Fort Campbell region,” according to a job description shared with On Base….
