The House passed a six-bill spending package Wednesday by a vote of 339-85, as Roll Call reported. Now it’s in the hands of the Senate.
“We’re working to get this done as quickly as we can,” Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) said Wednesday, according to Politico. A single Senator can typically slow down any legislation.
The package must be signed into law by Friday night to avoid a partial government shutdown.
