QR Code Makes It Easier for Marines to Report Barracks Conditions

July 3, 2024

The Marine Corps introduced a new barracks maintenance tracking system last week. It lets Marines scan a QR code to report issues with their barracks, as Military.com reported.

The program, CSRMax, is used in other parts of the military but will now be branch-wide for the Marine Corps. Submitted requests will go to installation maintenance but also be collected and tabulated by Corps leaders.

“This new digital maintenance tracking system was designed to improve accountability and responsiveness for maintenance requests and allow Marines to track them in real time, “Maj. John Parry, a spokesperson for the USMC installation command, told Military.com.

CSRMax is part of the Corps’ Barracks 2030 plan.
