U.S. Rep. Rick Larsen (D-Wash.) is promoting Naval Station Everett, Wash., as the “ideal” location for future Navy and Coast Guard homeporting. Larsen makes the case in a new report. “Naval Station Everett is still ‘the Sailor’s Choice,’ but I am working to make it the Pentagon’s Choice,” he said in a press release….
A new partnership in Texas will increase video surveillance at the Fort Hood airfield and in the nearby communities and free soldiers up to do other work, KWTX reported. The project is available through a state grant and funding from seven surrounding communities.
