Air Force Institutes New Support, Virtual Platform for EFMP Participants

Starting April 15, Airmen that participate in the Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) can begin a Family Member Travel Screening package to receive important program updates and save time filling out forms and attending appointments.

EFMP provides critical support for military families with members with special needs. Military families that participate in the program often experience challenging transitions finding the necessary medical and educational support during PCS moves.

“Caring for a family member with special needs requires patience, resilience and sacrifice, and we will do our best to minimize the impact of COVID-19 on our families,” said Lt. Col. Lisa Hoyt, Air Force Programs for Families with Special Needs program manager.
