Nominations Open for ADC’s New Champion Awards

December 13, 2021

ADC has launched a new recognition program to honor those whose “actions make a difference in the lives of our military, military families and veterans,” according to a web announcement. “Join ADC in recognizing the individuals who make a difference in our communities through deeds big and small.”

The Defense Community Champions program expands ADC’s longtime Defense Community Awards to honor and tell the stories of a broader range of individuals.

“They are leaders on base, in the community, across the federal government and in industry,” ADC said. “Defense Community Champions inspire us to support the men and women who protect our nation every day.”

Any ADC member can nominate someone as a Defense Community Champion before the Dec. 31 deadline. Selection criteria include their defense community connection, the community impact of their work, awareness of how the person’s work can be duplicated in other defense communities, and representation of the diverse group of people who support military families and communities.

There’s more information on the Defense Community Champions website and in the downloadable Champions information guide.
