The Guam Environmental Protection Agency has fined Andersen Air Force Base for sanitizing some of its drinking water with chlorination tablets made to sanitize swimming pools, a base spokesperson announced in a statement. On Jan. 2 the agency issued a violation notice that the chlorination tabs the base was using in drinking water included a chemical compound the agency considers a pesticide.
