TODAY: Summit Series, The Politics of Defense [Keynote Session]

Today, Oct. 1, ADC’s Summit Series will provide an insider’s look at today’s big issues affecting the military and the nation’s defense communities.

With the 2021 NDAA working its way through Congress there is an emerging theme of modernization and focus on providing DOD with the ability to meet the growing threat posed by near-peer competitors like Russia and China. Advanced technologies, personnel requirements, new weapon systems, military family quality of life and a reassessment of the needs of our industrial base are being prioritized.

The virtual event will feature interviews with Rep Adam Smith, Chairman, House Armed Services Committee; Sen. James Inhofe, Chairman, Senate Armed Services Committee; Rep. Anthony Brown, House Armed Services Committee; and Andrea Inserra, Executive Vice President, Booz Allen Hamilton.

A defense analyst reaction panel will follow which includes Matt Borron, Executive Director, ADC; McKenzie Eaglen, Senior Fellow, American Enterprise Institute; Bryan Bender, Senior National Correspondent and Anchor of Morning Defense, POLITICO; Andrew Holland, Chief Operating Officer, American Security Project; and Emma Moore, Military, Veterans, and Society Program, Center for a New American Security.

The program will be held on Thursday, October 1 from 3:00-4:30 PM EST.
