The Kentucky Air National Guard has been helping rescue people and pets from homes flooded in the eastern part of Kentucky, WLKY reported. “I’m very, very proud of our men and women,” said the 23rd Special Tactics Squadron’s commander, Maj. Ian Williams. “I thought they did an amazing job getting out to the people who needed help early and as fast as possible with all the equipment and talent needed to rescue lives.”…

A new three-story substation will house critical utility infrastructure at the former Hunters Point Naval Shipyard in San Francisco, California. Building Design + Construction reported that the substation is part of a redevelopment project created with community input that will feature an outdoor plaza, parks and trails.
