The Hawaii Department of Health is fining the Navy $8.7 million for more than 700 incidents of discharging sewage from its wastewater treatment plant at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Stars & Stripes reported. “We are taking action to protect our state’s water resources and to hold the Navy accountable to make critical repairs and prevent a potential catastrophic failure of the facility,” said Kathleen Ho, deputy director of environment health….

The Army & Air Force Exchange Service recently celebrated the grand re-opening of its shopping center at Joint Base Lewis McChord, Washington, according to a press release. “The reopening marks a new era of service and support at JBLM,” JBLM Exchange General Manager Matthew Beatty said at Wednesday’s ribbon-cutting ceremony.
