Assistant Service Secretaries to Talk Climate Change at ADC Installation Innovation

October 19, 2022

Climate change is dramatically impacting force readiness and imposing unsustainable costs for DOD and the military services. To maintain its global advantage, the U.S. military will need to continue investing in climate change mitigation.

The assistant secretary overseeing installations, energy and environment at each of the three military services will discuss the services’ climate change strategies at day one of ADC Installation Innovation.

Assistant Navy Secretary Meredith Berger, Assistant Army Secretary Rachel Jacobson and Acting assistant Air Force Secretary Edwin Oshiba will speak on the panel, “Addressing Climate Change at an Enterprise Level.”

Installation Innovation takes place Oct. 31 through Nov. 2 in Phoenix. The agenda includes dozens of sessions, including best practices for installation resilience and community partnerships. There’s still time to register.
