National security spending and industry in California generated more than $158 billion in economic impact in the state in 2021 and created more than 760,000 full-time equivalent jobs that year, according to a new state report….

Members of the public will be able to tour the Navy littoral combat ship Montgomery and Coast Guard cutter Forrest Rednour during this weekend’s Fleet Week San Diego, the San Diego Union-Tribune reported….

The U.S. Military Academy at West Point is planning to go green, thanks to a partnership with the office of Rachel Jacobson, assistant secretary of the Army (installations, energy, and environment), Federal News Network reported. “We pride ourselves here at the Academy… on project-based learning, and that… involves questions that do not have easy answers,” Todd Davidson, a West Point assistant professor of mechanical engineering, said. “What are the emerging challenges that the Army is facing? And how can we put cadets in front of those challenges so that they know what they’re going to need to face when they step into leadership roles in just the next few years?”
