The DOD Office of Local Defense Community Cooperation has awarded almost $60 million to the Alamogordo School District to help replace the current elementary and middle schools at Holloman Air Force Base, New Mexico, according to a DOD press release. The Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development is providing a state tax credit worth up to $15 million for redevelopment at the former Fort Ritchie, the Herald-Mail reported. “The redevelopment of Fort Ritchie will preserve a piece of history in Washington County and be transformative for the surrounding community,” Gov.
