Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado’s 302nd Airlift Wing was announced this month as the winner of the 22nd Air Force’s 2022 Battle Born Trophy. The Cobb Chamber in Cobb County, Georgia and Blue Sky EXP in Marietta, Georgia present the award each year to one of the 14 units that report directly to the 22nd Air Force, based at Dobbins Air Reserve Base, Georgia. It represents the history and lineage of the 22nd Air Force and the importance of partnership with the local community and allows the 22nd Air Force to recognize its Numbered Air Force’s top-performing unit, according to the 22nd Air Force. “Our partnership with the Battle Born Trophy is a small expression of our community’s gratitude and respect for the mission of the 22nd Air Force,” Cobb Chamber President & CEO Sharon Mason said.
