When Kimberly Huth retired from the Air Force, she began looking for a new way to serve and became the executive director of military affairs for St. Clair County, Illinois, home to Scott Air Force Base.
Huth was recognized last week as a national Defense Community Champion.
Huth is one of 17 local Defense Community Champions, an ADC program supported by Navy Federal Credit Union. She is one of three to be named national champions, along with Lucy Greene and Frederick Mueller.
