MacDill Air Force Base, Florida has a new mascot named Champa Boom, as Air & Space Forces Magazine reported. Vandenberg Space Force Base, California, The Nature Conservancy and the Land Trust for Santa Barbara County announced a $15 million conservation easement, according to a press release. “This collaboration with TNC and DOD is a win for science, culture… climate resilience and a model for future permanent legal land protection,” said Meredith Hendricks, executive director of Land Trust for Santa Barbara County.
