November 8, 2023

ADC visited Fairbanks North Star Borough, Alaska to talk with community and Army leaders about how they welcome service members and military families to the arctic. ADC’s Grace Marvin found a community committed to ensuring military families have the support they need to thrive in Interior Alaska’s beautiful but often challenging environment.

Watch the video story that premiered at ADC’s Installation Innovation Forum.

The community is one of five in the 2023 class of Great American Defense Communities, an ADC program sponsored by USAA.
