Kentucky lawmakers have advanced a bipartisan House bill aimed at lowering suicide among veterans by reducing the stigma of seeking support services, AP reported. “I think it’s connecting the dots to those services that already exist and finding out how we can improve those for the veteran population,” said state Rep. Michael Meredith (R), the bill’s lead sponsor….

Fort Stewart-Hunter Army Airfield, Georgia’s Family, Morale, Welfare and Recreation is hosting an expo for small businesses, home-based businesses and aspiring entrepreneurs to get resources, network and learn from other business leaders, Coastal Courier reported. The event, “Operation Startup,” is a partnership with Georgia Southern University’s Business Innovation Group. “Together, we are fostering connections, exchanging knowledge and paving the way for collective growth,” FMWR Marketing Director Michelle Cowart said.
