The Military Alliance Council in Charles County, Maryland and the town of Indian Head recently coordinated with local partners to provide Chick-Fil-A breakfast for Marines and sailors assigned to the Chemical Biological Incident Response Force after they returned in the early morning from protecting the Capitol during the President’s State of the Union address. The unit, stationed at Naval Support Facility Indian Head, provides incident prevention and protection against agent attacks at all national events where the highest-level officials are in attendance….

The state of New York is providing a $1.5 million grant to upgrade the railway infrastructure at the former Seneca Army Depot. “The grant will facilitate the reconnection of existing businesses within the depot and support the logistical needs of rural enterprises, significantly benefiting the regional economy. Notable beneficiaries include Seneca Dairy Systems, Keystone Mills, and Finger Lakes Railway, all of which stand to gain from the enhanced rail services,” FingerLakes1.com reported.
