‘We Are One’: ADC Launches ADC50 Plan Ahead of Upcoming Anniversary

April 9, 2024

ADC President Karen Holt announced the association’s plan for celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2026 and how it will use the milestone to advance its mission.

The ADC50 plan “emphasizes being more than a mere anniversary celebration,” Holt said at the Defense Communities National Summit. “It’s a strategy to advance an expansive vision for the future of America’s defense communities.”

The campaign will also engage new supporters of the military and defense communities.

“Our story of being together around our common mission of support is unique and powerful,” Holt said. “We believe this story can be the foundation for creating new connections between military and civilian worlds.”

ADC50 Plan

There are four primary goals ADC will pursue over the next two years as it recognizes the milestone:

  1. Share the story of America’s defense communities in a way that demonstrates support for our nation’s military.
  2. Launch the next evolution of America’s defense communities by realizing the vision of being “one community.”
  3. Invest in defense communities as they meet the growing needs of both the mission and military families.
  4. Build the next generation of defense community leaders.
