Navy Shares More ‘Every Sailor is a Recruiter’ Materials to Boost Numbers

April 3, 2024

The Navy has released new materials to help commanding officers promote the Every Sailor is a Recruiter initiative. The program, launched in 2022, provides incentives for sailors who share their military experience and bring in new recruits, as Navy Times reported.

According to a Navy message, a new smartbook “provides a comprehensive array of recruiting resources including: Community events, media outreach programs, delayed  entry programs, what to expect at Recruit Training Command (RTC), RTC’s physical readiness program, Warrior Toughness program, military pay information, Navy Reserve benefits, educational information, and other useful links.”

An accompanying toolbox website has a dashboard to track referrals and marketing materials sailors can share with prospective recruits.

Sailors can earn up to two Flag Letters of Commendation if they help sign a future sailor. Each letter is worth one point toward advancement.
